Art-making Challenge: Create Your Own Portfolio!

Art-Making Challenge:
Create your own portfolio

You can make a portfolio to store your creations with almost anything.  Below are some examples that you can make at home with supplies you might find laying around the house.  So grab what you can (ask your parents first!) and start making a home for all your future masterpieces!

Cereal Box Portfolio:

 1. Choose a cereal box! (are you finished eating the cereal first?)

 2. Carefully pull apart cereal box at the seams.  Be careful not to tear the box.

 3. On the inside of the box, design your Art Portfolio however you please...

 (Finished Design)

5. Tape cereal box back together at the seams, but this time, with your design facing outwards, on display.

6. Once you're finished, you can keep the top tabs of the box  to close your work inside or you can cut off the top tabs for an open portfolio.

Pizza Box Portfolio:

Take a frozen Pizza Box and decorate it!  You can do this either by coloring directly on the front of the box, or, you could follow the same steps as the Cereal Box Portfolio and create your design from the inside out.

Manilla Folder Portfolio:

If you have a Manilla Folder around the house, just tape up the sides and design/doodle away!!

Folder Portfolio:

Simple!  Just take a folder... if you can decorate it, DOooo IT!!!  If not (because of the material of the portfolio and the art supplies at hand may not be compatible), then lets start making some beautiful work to fill this baby up!

So those are some suggestions that we have come up with.  If you guys have some more ideas or suggestions for portfolios, let us know and we'll post them below!

Make Art, be safe, wash your hands, and be kind 🌞
